Audi  |  The new Q4 e-tron

Compact, yet packed with more!

5 June 2026

Already one of Audi’s bestsellers, the upgraded version is likely to become even more popular: The all-electric Audi Q4 e-tron enhances everyday driving comfort with more range, greater charging capacity and a redesigned cockpit. In addition, the Audi Q4 e-tron can now also serve as a mobile energy storage unit.

Bidirectional charging:
A first for Audi

The Audi Q4 e-tron is ready for bidirectional charging. Its high-voltage battery can therefore not only take in energy, but also supply it to external electrical equipment. Thanks to the Vehicle-to-Load (V2L)⁷⁾ function, it can, for example, power an e-bike. This works either via the practical socket in the luggage compartment or with the help of an adapter via the charging port. In Germany, Austria and Switzerland, the Audi Q4 e-tron can also serve as an additional energy storage unit for the home, ideally in combination with a photovoltaic system. This function is called Vehicle-to-Home (V2H)⁸⁾ and requires a compatible DC wall box.

Driver-oriented Digital Stage:
The heart of the interior

At the centre is the panoramic display, consisting of a 30.2-centimetre instrument cluster (11.9″) and an MMI touch display with a 32.5 cm screen diagonal (12.8″). Large tiles provide a quick overview of the available features and services. An optional 30.4-centimetre display (12″) is available for the front passenger seat – with customisable standby design.

Now even more efficient: Across all drive variants

Efficiency-enhancing measures in the drive system provide more range and more torque. The electric motor also features newly developed power electronics, while new software functions further optimise consumption.

Generous interior: Airy up front,
plenty of legroom in the rear

In total, the model offers around 25 litres of storage capacity across various compartments. Its everyday practicality is underlined by the 515-litre luggage compartment capacity, which increases to up to 1,487 litres with the rear seats folded down, as well as the towing capacity, which has been increased to up to 1,800 kilograms. The trailer nose weight is 75 kilograms.

More individuality
and more safety

At the front, the digital LED daytime running lights with segment-based technology create digital light signatures – creating a highly recognisable look. The Audi Q4 e-tron offers four new light signatures, which can be conveniently selected via the MMI. At the rear, the digital OLED rear lights 2.0 take the new Audi Q4 e-tron family to a new level in terms of lighting design and functionality. Proximity detection warns following vehicles if they approach a stationary vehicle too closely.

The Audi Q4 e‑tron continues to be available as

  • an SUV (power consumption (combined): 19.1-15.3 kWh/100 km; CO₂ emissions (combined): 0 g/km; CO₂ class: A)
  • and Sportback (power consumption (combined): 18.6-14.8 kWh/100 km; CO₂ emissions (combined): 0 g/km; CO₂ class: A)

each with two battery variants, as a rear-wheel‑ or all-wheel-drive version and in a total of four power variants.

All information applies to the German market. The vehicle images show special equipment.

³⁾In the equipment variant of the Audi Q4 Sportback e-tron performance with the most favourable range (power consumption (combined): 17.7–15.2 kWh/100 km; CO₂ emissions (combined): 0 g/km; CO₂ class: A) with 59.0 kWh net battery energy content, determined on the roller dynamometer. The actual range values may vary depending on the equipment fitted. The actual range achieved under real conditions varies depending on the driving style, speed, use of comfort features or auxiliary consumers, outside temperature, number of passengers / payload, topography and the ageing and wearing process of the battery.

⁴⁾The specified fuel consumption, electricity consumption, CO2 emissions and electric ranges have been determined according to the measurement procedures of the “Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure” (WLTP) in line with Regulation (EC) No. 715/2007. Additional equipment and accessories (add-on parts, different tyre formats, etc.) may change the relevant vehicle parameters, such as weight, rolling resistance and aerodynamics, and, in conjunction with weather and traffic conditions and individual driving style, may affect fuel consumption, electrical power consumption, CO2 emissions, electric range and the performance figures for the vehicle. Further information about WLTP can be found at www.audi.de/wltp.

⁵⁾The figures given apply exclusively to the Audi Q4 Sportback e-tron performance: power consumption (combined): 17.7–15.2 kWh/100 km; CO₂ emissions (combined): 0 g/km; CO₂ class: A.

⁶⁾Maximum possible charging capacity for Q4 SUV e-tron quattro performance (power consumption (combined): 18.9–16.2 kWh/100 km; CO₂ emissions (combined): 0 g/km; CO₂ class: A) and Q4 Sportback e-tron quattro performance (power consumption (combined): 18.5–15.8 kWh/100 km; CO₂ emissions (combined): 0 g/km; CO₂ class: A). The charging behaviour of different charging stations can differ, even if their kW capacity is the same. In addition to a charging station’s kW output, the maximum charge current also influences the amount of energy that flows. Furthermore, the age of the battery, ambient and battery temperature, auxiliary air conditioning (cooling) and the state of charge influence the maximum possible charging capacity. The specified maximum charging capacity is calculated under WLTP conditions at a temperature of approx. 23 °C and a charge level from five per cent. If these variables change, the charging capacity may deviate from the specified standard value.

⁷⁾The equipment listed is available as an optional extra at an additional cost. Only available in conjunction with the optional luggage compartment package.

⁸⁾The Vehicle-to-Home function will initially only be available in the DACH markets and requires a compatible, bidirectional DC wallbox. Any additional hardware required will depend on the existing home electrical system.
