When 100 Helion technicians from all parts of Switzerland \u2013 the so-called Helionauts \u2013 took possession of 100 all-electric ID. Buzz Cargo at the Attisholz-Areal near Solothurn at the end of January, they became actors in the world\u2019s biggest transfer of the model to date. By becoming one of the largest electric fleets in Switzerland, Helion has underscored its commitment to becoming a pace-setter and a driving force behind the development of a sustainable Swiss eco-system consisting of solar power and e-mobility along with the AMAG Group.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Some people still have reservations about the use of electric vehicles in their fleets of commercial vehicles. To provide the necessary energy boost the transition required, Helion significantly expanded the charging infrastructure of all of its branches. Technicians who could charge their vehicles at home were also provided with the necessary infrastructure. As a result, the public charging network only has to be used by the ID. Buzz Cargo in exceptional cases.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The company got around the high initial investments for electric vehicles by accepting a full-service offer submitted by Movon\u00b2\u207e because this offer facilitates better planning ability and cost control. The full-service package also offers a range of services that covers all needs: from vehicle financing, maintenance and repairs to tyre storage. The electrification of the fleet not only makes a valuable contribution to climate protection, but also pays off on the bottom line \u2013 particularly in terms of high annual vehicle usage: In spite of the investments in the charging infrastructure at Helion\u2019s locations and at the homes of technicians and vehicle operators, the new fleet will pay for itself after about one year in comparison with a vehicle fleet powered by fossil fuels \u2013 in other words, these are investments that pay benefits in the short term.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
