While you can hear, read and think about mobility transformation, nothing beats personal experience. How do their peers address the issue? What do the relevant technologies and solutions look like in practice? Which strategies are best to follow? The Konzern Forum 2023 provided the ideal platform to answer such questions. Also present for the event at the Audi Brand Experience Centre in Munich were fleet customers from 24 countries \u2013 from Finland to Argentina.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The right solutions at the right time<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

THE CHANGE\u201d: The theme of the event, which took place again for the first time after a three-year break because of the coronavirus pandemic, ran like a continuous thread throughout the entire programme \u2013 starting with the business meeting with Thomas Rennebaum. In his keynote address, the Head of Volkswagen Group Fleet International explained: \u201cThere\u2019s no doubt that the transformation to electric mobility will continue to accelerate \u2013 apart from the latest fleet registration trends, this can also be seen from the most recent decisions at political level.\u201d<\/p>\n

The fleet professionals who made the journey to the exhibition area, which is aptly named the Change Campus, likewise got a lively and diverse impression of the service portfolio. The Key Account Managers left no questions unanswered: whether in relation to battery technology, mobility services, sustainability or software solutions.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Between the individual stations, eyecatchers like the ID.Buzz Pro, ID.7, CUPRA Tavascan and the \u0160koda Vision 7S drew all glances. As one participant summed up \u201cAll of the key issues that I deal with every day as a fleet manager are gathered here in one place you might say \u2013 with the relevant contacts directly on hand as well\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Shaping change naturally also means driving change \u2013 and ample scope was provided for this at the Konzern Forum 2023. On site, guests were able to put the latest e-models from the Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Audi, \u0160koda, CUPRA, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles and Porsche group brands through their paces. \u201cThe more background knowledge, the better the purchasing decision. And this also includes being able to personally try out the vehicle and its assist systems\u201d, said organiser Anja Hellemann, Communication and Events GFI, as she summed up the aim of the Driving Experience around the Munich Airport venue.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Though not yet released for the road, various prototypes were also on view to whet the appetite. Amid the strict security of the exhibition, they also provided guests with concrete previews of what company fleets can expect from the Group brands in the future in terms of change.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The specified fuel consumption and emission data has been determined according to the measurement procedures prescribed by law. On 1 January 2022, the WLTP test cycle replaced the NEDC test cycle fully. This means that NEDC values will not be provided for new type-approved vehicles after this date. The information does not refer to an individual vehicle and is not an integral part of the offer. It is provided solely for the purpose of comparison between the different vehicle types. Additional equipment and accessories (e.g. add-on parts, different tyre formats etc.) may change the relevant vehicle parameters, such as weight, rolling resistance and aerodynamics, and, in conjunction with weather and traffic conditions and individual driving style, may affect fuel consumption, electrical power consumption, CO\u2082 emissions and the performance figures for the vehicle.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Because it involves more realistic testing conditions, the fuel consumption and CO\u2082 emission values calculated in accordance with the WLTP are in many cases higher than those calculated in accordance with the NEDC. As a result, there may be corresponding changes to vehicle taxation starting on 1 September 2018.
