This word describes the character of carmaker CUPRA fairly aptly. This was the case five years ago when the brand started out and the same is true today. The exceptional styling of its models, their outstanding performance and aesthetic appeal impress car drivers who value individuality. More than 300,000 CUPRA models have taken to the roads globally since 2018 \u2013 and now the brand is set to further expand its electrified portfolio: Following numerous plug-in hybrids and an all-electric compact, the Spaniards are expanding their electric portfolio with the addition of the CUPRA Tavascan, an attractive liaison of sporty SUV and elegant coup\u00e9. Incidentally, the brand is also giving a preview of the design language of future electric models with its new addition &#8230; watch this space! This is also the case with the CUPRA Tavascan: from the outside, it impresses with its powerful and sporty proportions. The matrix LED headlights at the front with the unmistakable triangular eye signature are immediately recognisable. And the interior is pure delight in terms of its design thanks to an eye-catchingly shaped centre console and the slender, barely visible air vents. The CUPRA Tavascan can therefore be used confidently as a visual calling card, regardless of whether for business use or privately by user choosers.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;29477&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<div class=\"iv-modul__question\">\n<h2>Progressively advanced<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Anyone who has driven an electric vehicle knows that vehicle electrification goes hand in hand with powerful performance. The same is true of the CUPRA Tavascan. The reason for this is Volkswagen\u2019s modular electric drive matrix (MEB), which has been pushed to the boundaries by the engineers in Martorell. In addition, the developers have also refined proven technologies, such as the running gear with MacPherson strut front suspension and a multi-link rear axle. The result: the CUPRA Tavascan responds gently but directly to steering inputs \u2013 whether driving on the motorway or on winding country roads. In combination with the progressive steering, drivers therefore have optimum control of the CUPRA Tavascan. And such added driving comfort means a more relaxed journey \u2013 to the office, the customer or on vacation.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<div class=\"iv-modul__question\">\n<h2>Good packaging<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The right energy storage unit is a must for anyone seeking a dynamic electric response. For design reasons, these add quite a bit of weight \u2013 but this has a major advantage. That\u2019s because ideally the battery should be positioned centrally between the axles in order to be able to control the distribution of weight precisely: In the CUPRA Tavascan, the position of the battery is close to the ideal value 50:50. This helps to achieve a low centre of gravity, which in turn has a positive impact on road holding and agility. On the subject of agility: The first all-electric SUV coup\u00e9 from the CUPRA brand is available in two power versions: with 210 kW (286 PS) (power consumption in kWh\/100 km: combined 15.6; CO<sub>2<\/sub> emissions in g\/km: combined 0; electric range in km (WLTP): combined 549)\u00b9\u207e and 250 kW (340 PS) (power consumption in kWh\/100 km: combined 16.6; CO<sub>2<\/sub> emissions in g\/km: combined 0; electric range in km (WLTP): combined 517)\u00b9\u207e. The higher-performance all-wheel version is driven by two electric motors and offers high performance with outstanding engine power. In addition, thanks to a battery pack with a net energy content of 77 kWh, it boasts a range of more than 510 kilometres. The type of performance that should also impress frequent drivers.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The CUPRA Tavascan was designed and developed as always in Barcelona and is to be produced in the Chinese plant in Anhui \u2013 a Volkswagen Group state-of-the-art innovation centre for electric mobility. On 1 January 2022, the WLTP test cycle replaced the NEDC test cycle fully. This means that NEDC values will not be provided for new type-approved vehicles after this date. The information does not refer to an individual vehicle and is not an integral part of the offer. It is provided solely for the purpose of comparison between the different vehicle types.
