Auto Shanghai 2021 was the venue for the d\u00e9but of a new Audi concept vehicle: the Audi A6 e-tron concept\u00b9\u207e \u2013 a precursor to an innovative family of all-electric, high-volume vehicles.<\/span><\/h2>\n

The new electric four-door is based on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE), which was developed by Audi along with Porsche. This powerful modular system will add further impetus to the rollout of electric vehicles. What\u2019s more, PPE technology will open up the choice of model in the future since, apart from SUVs with high vehicle floors, it also allows dynamically styled models with flat floors to be electrified. Electric mobility from Audi can therefore now become attractive too for companies that want to position their fleets flexibly in terms of the look and feel.<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n

Faster charging<\/b>
\n800-volt charging technology will be at the heart of the drive technology of the Audi A6 e-tron concept1)<\/sup>\u00a0as well as all future PPE models. This ensures that the battery can be charged at quick-charging stations with an output of up to 270 kW, making charging almost as fast as a traditional refuel stop for a combustion engine car. Ten minutes is all it takes to get enough driving power on board to travel more than 300 kilometres. In less than 25 minutes, the charge level of the 100 kWh battery of the Audi A6 e-tron concept1)<\/sup>\u00a0can be increased from around 5 per cent to approximately 80 per cent.<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n

Depending on the drive variant and output, the Audi A6 e-tron concept1)<\/sup>\u00a0can travel more than around 700 kilometres with a fully charged battery.
